It’s no different for trumpet instructor Kelly Rossum, whose new CD Renovation was released in May 2004. Since then, the unique sound of the Kelly Rossum Quintet has been turning the ears of critics and jazz fans alike. In fact, this year Renovation was nominated for four Minnesota Music Awards: Jazz Recording, Jazz Acoustic – Group/Artist; Horn Player (Sax-Man Chris Thomson) and Drummer/Percussionist (J.T. Bates).
